Quercia al Poggio sits in the hills outside Barberino Tavarnelle, where the Chianti region starts to open up into the Chianti Classico. It’s feels like it’s been there forever— with its stone buildings and its courtyard that spill into the vineyards. With long views that stretch out quietly in every direction, it can’t get any more authentic for a rustic and traditional venue in Tuscany.
Unlike many wedding venues, there isn’t a fixed route guests are expected to follow from ceremony to aperitivo – then dinner. The venue allows for guests to move freely, with little nooks and passages through the venue that highlight the authenticity of the space, all while the surrounding landscape stays present: hills, vines, long views that shift as the light changes at every turn.
Quercia al Poggio is nestled among vineyards and rolling hills and has an unpretentious, lived-in feel — as though it has grown naturally over time rather than being deliberately designed for events. The stone buildings, open courtyards, and long views across the fields give the venue a quiet, grounding presence that naturally slows the pace of the day.
Unlike many wedding venues, there isn’t a fixed route guests are expected to follow. Instead, people move freely between indoor and outdoor spaces. Conversations overlap, moments stretch, and time feels less structured — allowing the day to unfold without being tightly choreographed.
